How to help: Community and Faith Groups

Organizations and clubs can help engage people in the community through volunteering. This is a great way to empower your group and have a positive impact with lasting benefit. Here are some ideas:

  • Volunteer as a group. We may need to split larger groups for better facilitation, but you can gather together again to discuss your impressions. Contact us about the best times.
  • Hold a fundraiser and donate a cheque or cash raised. A car-wash, charity-walk, or group challenge can all help focus on a common goal. Financial donations are always helpful to purchase food items as needed.
  • Having a food drive is a great way to get involved. Collecting non-perishable foods and delivering them to the food bank during regular business hours helps keep our shelves stocked. Contact us and we'll make some suggestions to get you started!
  • You can donate professional services. If your group has a particular skill we may be able to utilize that talent. Contact us to discuss your talent.
